The "Défense Jazz Festival "returns to the Esplanade de Paris La Défense for a new and 43rd exceptional edition punctuated by free outdoor concerts.

It is in 2016 that Koki Nakano enters the life of music lovers in search of the unheard of. In the nine paintings of his first album Lift, recorded for the Nø Førmat! label with the admiring complicity of cellist Vincent Segal, the Japanese pianist reveals his singular talents as a composer.
Intimate in his subject matter and ample in his movements, he invokes, without tracing them, the shadows and lights of French impressionism, American minimalism, the most dreamy fringe of jazz or the great pop melody. Conceived from A to Z in solitary, Pre-Choreographed extends today this first beautiful escape. After the pas de deux in the company of Vincent Segal, here's a big step forward. An inner step, too, that seems to bring Koki Nakano closer to the naked heart of his expression: fifteen years after Gonzales' famous Solo Piano, Nø Førmat! adds a new chapter of choice to the history of piano freedmen.
