The exhibition DIE AND RETRY brings together and presents Marie Havek works developed during her residency at the Cité internationale des arts, as well as existing works that revolve around the DIE AND RETRY project.
The title DIE AND RETRY is derived from the practice of video games and is evocative of an action of success through failure, a focus of work that Marie Havel developed and oriented towards intimacy and childhood during her residency. An "eternal restart" in the form of a loop, which through the whole of the artist's practices, highlights the relationship of the human to failure, to ruin as well as the balance of power between nature and man, man and child, child and nature.
