The get-together of five musicians gave birth to a corpus of rearranged Iranian songs, symbolizing the heritage of their personal trajectories and rich in diversity: traditional Iranian, Arabic, flamenco, jazz and baroque music. Tar, qanun, voice, viola da gamba and percussion are here brought together to resonate with 19th century Persian poetry as well as original compositions.
With: Marie-Suzanne De Loye (viola da gamba), Saghar Khadem (percussion), Sogol Mirzaei (tar), Aïda Nosrat (voice) and artist in residency Christine Zayed (qanun).
Christine Zayed (Palestine) is a recipient of the "Cité internationale des arts & Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation" program.
