Nina Støttrup Larsen

Nina Støttrup Larsen is Danish artist, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Dutch Art Institute (DAI), and have had fellowships at the Jan van Eyck Academy, NL and Academy Schloss Solitude, DE.

Her work uses artistic strategies and research as a tool to plot out global power structures in relation to economy, legal infrastructures, geopolitics, and the post colonial present. The aim of the work is to make visible the disproportionate concentrations of capital and political, historical power structures. The work consists of installations, performance, printed matter, events, information design, texts and video. 

 

Her collaborators and curators with whom she worked include: Urban Scenographies, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Hebbel Am Ufer, Kampnagel, Sonic Acts Festival, De Groene Amsterdammer. She has taught at Artez University of the Arts, the Royal Academy of Art in Den Hague (KABK), NL, and is currently teaching at HEAR, Strasburg.
