The call for applications for the 2022 edition of the "Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation & the Cité internationale des arts" program is closed. The results will be communicated from Mid-July 2022 onwards.

In 2020, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and the Cité internationale des arts joined forces to create a unique residency program to support French artists and professionals particularly affected by the consequences of the Covid-19 health crisis. Since its creation, the program has enabled twenty artists to benefit from a customized accompaniment, a workshop-housing and a living allowance for six months.

The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation and the Cité internationale des arts are continuing their partnership and are launching a new call for applications for ten residencies in 2022-2023.

The program offers a balance between personal time, allowing the realization of a project or research, and collective emulation thanks to the anchoring in the heart of the community of 325 residents of all disciplines, all generations and all nationalities.

The Daniel & Nina Carasso Foundation is providing 120K€ in funding to this program.

The Fondation Daniel et Nina Carasso

Created in 2010, as a tribute to Daniel Carasso, founder of Danone, and his wife Nina, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation acts in France and Spain. It reveals, supports, accompanies and connects women and men who dare to look at and build the world differently in the fields of Sustainable Food and Citizen Art. The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation is a family foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de France. It is independent of any commercial company.

Since its creation in 2010, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation has awarded more than 1100 grants for a total amount of more than 85 million euros.

By placing Citizen Art and Sustainable Food at the heart of its actions, it wishes to contribute to a fairer world for today and tomorrow. It is by allowing the emergence of free minds that question, venture, cross and give life to ideas, and by facilitating the success of their projects, that it will be possible to accelerate this transformation.

More specifically, the Foundation’s Citizen Art axis develops its programs to meet the needs:

• Art education and mediation actors, who open the horizons of our knowledge and practices, as well as the pathways that connect us to others.

• Artists and researchers, who invest in cooperative ventures and make art a partner in research to invent new models and imagine tomorrow.

• Artists who engage in projects of general interest and carry out initiatives as citizens to enlighten, contribute and mobilize in the face of societal challenges.
