Atelier 8006 - Cité internationale des arts
Ittah Yoda is a duo of artists formed by Kai Yoda (Japanese - Swedish) and Virgile Ittah (French - Italian - North African), who live between Berlin, Tokyo, and the French region of Provence. Coming from diverse backgrounds as an artistic duo, they have developed their artistic identity through transcultural and digital creative collaborations.

For his first open studio at the Cité internationale des arts, Ittah Yoda will present a series of new sculptures and some of the works from their last solo exhibition in Tokyo earlier this year.

Ittah Yoda worked on the installation and the notion of movement and mobility in relation to their new sculptures during their stay at the Cité internationale des arts. They will create new sculptural works so that spectators can stretch out and experience the work in virtual reality as well as their physical installation.

They are currently researching the themes of comfort, hospitality and the therapeutic process in relation to their new work and exhibition, which is why the virtual reality experience they offer is intended to be relaxing and meditative.

The public is invited to experience virtual reality work during this open studio.

Virgile Ittah (France-Italy-North Africa) and Kai Yoda (Japan-Sweden) are winners of the Visual Arts Commissions of the Cité internationale des arts.
