SMILE AT A FIRE HYDRANT.

Saturday, February 09 2019, at 06:00 pm

studio 5 - Cité internationale des arts

An evening around the art of instruction and experimentation.

What happens when you smile at a hydrant? How does a cloud feel when you take it out for coffee? Or why not walk a week without knowing where you're going? Let's take this evening to discover it together.....

Katharina Kapsamer's research focuses on the framework of unoccupied urban territories - physical and imaginary - as social, conceptual and poetic spaces for intervention. In her work, she focuses on the different forms of overcoming, thresholds, dreamlike landscapes, utopia, interpersonal, emptiness, the interface between public and private space. She searches for places and encounters, walks, writes and takes photos, and synthesizes her observations into installations, photographs, artists' books and transmedia productions.

Katharina Kapsamer (Austria) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the City of Salzburg's programme.
