Have you ever been jet-lagged? How do you feel and how can you overcome it? AIJ (arts in jet lag) is an experimental networking project that invites practitioners to share their practices in any form in less than 30 minutes (not strictly regulated). At AIJ Paris, Yves Chiu will also present the jet lag of Taiwan or part of Asia based on his observation, research and practice to initiate more dialogue.

If jet lag is not only a sensory experience resulting from a nomadic journey, it can also refer to psychological, social, modern, cultural, even existential situations, such as people who cannot catch up with "time", and who are outside the "contemporary" or cannot control their hectic lives. For Yves Chun-ta Chiu, it is more a question of the post-colonial situation in Taiwan or in some Asian countries. On the other hand, jet lag is also an opportunity to face and reflect the past and to address various futures.

AIJ is following the projects of Taiwanese curator Yves Chun-ta Chiu 2014 New Year New Hope and N/Archive, which focus on how to encourage individuals to start their own specific field work to produce a unique reality including archives.
