The Cité internationale des arts and On the Move regularly join forces to organise events that give people the opportunity to talk about and reflect on the questions of mobility and creativity. Two such discussions focusing on mobility in Europe and the World have been organised as part of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union 2022.

The first, created in collaboration with FACE-Fresh Arts Coalition Europe as part of the ERASMUS+ programme-funded Learning Trajectories project, is a public debate on cultural mobility, professional development, mentoring and coaching in the arts.

It aims to answer the following questions: What is the reality of the situation and what needs and formats exist in Europe? How can we overcome the lack of knowledge in terms of methods, approaches and practices? How can we better understand the experience of host organisations in the implementation of internationalisation?  What role do residency programmes play in international professional development? How can we create methods to assist people from underrepresented groups and/or contexts in which assistance in general (and mobility opportunities in particular) are scarce?

Program:

• 1:45 - 2:15 pm: Arrival and welcome.

• 2:15 - 2:45 pm: Introduction and launch of the Learning Trajectories publications that aim to design better international professional development programmes for artists and performing arts professionals in Europe.

Moderated by:  Isabel Andreen

With: Jana Grünewald / Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (Germany) ; Stéphane Segreto-Aguilar / Circostrada (European network) ; Tihana Pupovac / Platforma Kooperativa (Croatia)

• 4:15 - 4:30 pm: Break.
