Tracey has just finished school. She bought a ticket for a round-the-world trip and is flying off to party. By contrast, her grandmother Odette leads a quiet, stable life. She plays the piano for The Players, knits for the African Appeal and takes care of Hilda’s cat. When Tracey misses her plane home, Odette sets off on a quest to find her granddaughter, but on her journey she discovers her inner DJ instead.
Based on a true story, M.Rock tells the enduring joys of music, dance and self-discovery, outlining the destiny of 18-year-old Tracey and her grandmother Odette.
This new and intergenerational theatrical experience challenges the taboos and assumptions about age.
With DJ Ferdinand Gratz pumping out some beats, M.Rock’s first public reading invites you to live and have fun.
