The exhibition Deep see blue surrounding you / Vois ce bleu profond te fondre is structured around three main thematic points, which constitute as many references for the elaboration of the exhibition. First of all, a reflection on the notions of generations and identities, of what binds us together or distances us from each other: from the eldest to the youngest, from the neighbour abroad. Then comes the idea of disconnection, misunderstanding and misunderstanding, particularly through the exploration of language and its appropriation or mis-appropriation. Finally, tinged with utopia and surrealism, Laure Provost's project aims to represent an escape route, both tangible and imaginary, towards an ideal elsewhere. The exhibition takes the form of an invitation to blend into a liquid and sprawling universe among the various revealed and shared realities that are intertwined.

Born in Lille in 1978, Laure Prouvost moved to London in 1999 and studied at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, then at Goldsmiths College. In 2011, she won the Max Mara Art Prize for Women. The Turner Prize was awarded to him in 2013. She is represented by the galleries Nathalie Obadia (Paris, Brussels), Lisson Gallery (London, New York) and Carlier Gebauer (Berlin).

In Paris, the Cité internationale des arts will echo Laure Provost's project for the French Pavilion in Venice. A series of get-togethers in the Fall of 2019, under the direction of Martha Kirszenbaum, will highlight and develop the Pavilion's artistic challenges.
