Born in 1997 in Cannes, John Gade is a French pianist, violinist and composer.
Despite his young age, the artist has already studied music with many great piano masters in France and abroad. He studied with Denis Pascal and Frank Braley at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He continued his studies at the Buchmann-Mehta School of music in Tel Aviv, Israel in the class of Emanuel Krasovsky. Currently, John Gade is deepening his art with the great Russian professor Igor Lazko at the Schola Cantorum.
He has also taken master classes with Philippe Bianconi, Bertrand Chamayou, Ivry Gitlis, Misha Kats, Khatia Buniatishvili, and is regularly advised and guided by the great pianist Bruno Rigutto.
This young talent began to show his musical genius in his teens at various competitions and performances. He won the 1st prize at the "Virtuoses du cœur" competition in Paris in 2017, is laureate of the Hauts de France international competition in 2018, 1st prize at the Claude Bonneton international competition in Sète, obtains the grand prize of the Académie Ravel in Saint-Jean de Luz in 2019, as well as the Alain Marinaro grand prize at the Collioure international competition in 2019, 2nd prize at the Albert Roussel international competition. He is appointed pianist ambassador of the Banque Populaire foundation at the Mediterranean in 2021.
He has performed under the direction of Philippe Bender and Jean-Jacques Kantorov, at the Bagatelle Chopin Festival, at the Lisztomanias festival in Chateauroux, at the "Nuits musicales du Suquet" festival in Cannes, at the "C'est pas classique" festival in Nice, at the "Piano en Valois" festival in Angoulême, in Bordeaux at the "Esprit du Piano" festival with pianist Philippe Bianconi, at the Maeght foundation in Saint-Paul de Vence as well as at the Ile Seguin music scene in Boulogne. In 2014, at the festival "films en concert" in Lambersart, he has composed a trio and a duo for films by Emil Cohl and Charlie Chaplin.
