Since 1972, the Festival d'Automne à Paris accompanies artists by producing and diffusing their works, in a spirit of fidélité, openness and discovery thanks to a multidisciplinary program: theater, music, dance, visual arts, cinema. Each year, from September to December, it offers nearly 50 events and brings together around 250,000 spectators.

The Talents Adami Théâtre program and the Festival d'Automne à Paris invite a director to work with young actors and actresses. This year, with Le chœur, Fanny de Chaillé offers them a choral experience, which rethinks the status of the actor, based on the writing of the poet Pierre Alferi.

On stage, the ten actors and actresses form a choir. A unity. One body. No identified protagonist or individual incarnation, each exists in the collective experience. The director Fanny de Chaillé makes the choir as much the subject as the form of her new show, proposed within the framework of Talents Adami Théâtre. Thanks to this device already experimented by artists such as Gwenaël Morin, Joris Lacoste or tg STAN, she transmits her practice to young performers and questions with them the links between the stage and the spoken word. This questioning was already present in Désordre du discours, programmed at the Festival in 2019, taking as material an inaugural lesson by Michel Foucault at the Collège de France. In Le chœur, she works from the work of the poet Pierre Alferi, exploring the poem "Et la rue", taken from his book Divers chaos. This writing, a veritable musical score, mixes the force of the political gesture with the metric cadence of a poetic flow. A polymorphic form is born on the stage and gives the actor a real responsibility: that of the collective.
