The PARITANA Association, founded by Eric Dereumaux in March 2016, aims to participate in the promotion of Malagasy Contemporary Art, it launches in 2016 the PARITANA Contemporary Art Prize, in order to participate in the emulation of a rich and active artistic scene.

Open to all Malagasy artists, to all media (painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, comic strip...), the PARITANA Prize is an opening on the international scene, as much as a national meeting around contemporary art.

The PARITANA team has selected 10 nominees who will exhibit their works for one month in Madagascar: Dadee (drawing), Finaritra Djoh (drawing), Kev Wynalda (photography), MATCHBOX D. (photography), Natoa Rasolonjatovo (painting), Nirina Randrianarisoa (drawing), Richianny (painting), Rijasolo (photography), TangalaMamy (photography).

As part of this exhibition, the jury of the Paritana Prize will nominate the 2019 laureate on 21 March.

The laureate will have the opportunity to reside at the Cité internationale des arts for a period of 3 months.
His residence will be taken care of by PARITANA, supported by the H Foundation chaired by Mr Hassanein HIRIDJEE and by AIR FRANCE, which will offer a round-trip ticket.
A personal exhibition and a round table discussion led by professionals from the art world will close the artist's stay.
