Hélène Giannecchini

Hélène Giannecchini is a writer born in 1987.

 

In 2014 she published Une Image peut-être vraie (A Picture May Be True) by Seuil in the collection "La Librairie du XXIe siècle" and directed the Alix Cléo Roubaud retrospective at the Bibliothèque nationale de France that same year. Her next book, Voir de ses propres yeux is to be published in the same collection in January 2020.

 

For several years now, she has also been developing writing work in collaboration with contemporary artists.

 

Doctor of Literature, she has given lectures at the Pompidou Centre, the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Basel, the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, the Jeu de Paume, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, etc. Since 2017 she has been teaching contemporary art theory at the European Higher School of Image of Poitiers-Angouleme.

 

She was a resident of Villa Médicis in 2018-2019.
