The installation presented by Alban Muja in the Petite Galerie resonates with the video Family Album, created for the Kosovo Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia 2019.

This work focuses on personal and collective memories of the Kosovo War (1998-1999) and questions the role that images and the media have in constructing and shaping narrative, identity and history, especially in times of conflict.

Don't miss the discussion organized on October 5 (8:30 pm) – in the presence of the artist and Pavilion co-curator Anya Harrison.

Anya Harrison is a curator at MOCO - Montpellier Contemporain and an art critic. She was Assistant Curator of the Kosovo Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2019. In 2018, she was part of the curatorial team of Baltic Triennial 13 (Vilnius, Tallinn, Riga and London), under the artistic direction of Vincent Honoré. Other previous projects include collaborations with Manchester International Festival, Barbican Centre and Calvert 22. Her texts have been published in Frieze, CURA, Flash Art International and Modern Painters, among other magazines.

Alban Muja (Kosovo) was in residence at the Cité internationale des arts in 2018.
