Born in 1987, Denis Ninine is a visual artist from Guadeloupe.

Graduated from the École d'Art de Martinique, his love and passion for drawing has grown over the years. His practice revolves around questions related to the relationship to the Place and the imaginary. He draws his inspiration from the landscape that surrounds him, rural as well as urban, through which he evokes his concerns and those of his time.

His work applies itself to "re-enchanting" the daily life by occupying the space that separates reality from fiction. His project is characterized by a diversity and richness of techniques used. His artistic approach considers at the same time drawing, painting, sculpture (assembly) and street art. Through which is born and develops a dreamlike universe inhabited by characters just as singular.

Beyond my influences linked to comics, it is by cultivating my singularity that my plastic work asserts itself as a distinct writing. For me, it's a question of exploring another way of perceiving the everyday landscape, as if it had been passed through a filter tinged with dreamlike qualities. The use I make of color: vivid, raw, worked in contrast could evoke the processes of the pop art movement. Thus, it is thanks to the use of the circle that I set up the space of the canvas and distinguish the form from the background. I set up an unexpected figuration that takes us on a poetic adventure.
