Daniele Genadry

Daniele Genadry works with different media to examine how distance, light and movement affect visual experiences.
Her practice revolves around the relationship between painting and photography, and through it, she considers the potential of an image to generate its own temporality (light), and how a mediatized field of view can sensitize our perception.

She lives and works in Lebanon and teaches at the American University of Beirut.

Daniele Genadry studied at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and at the Slade School of Art in London. She has participated in residencies at the Bronx Museum, Anderson Ranch Art Center (USA), Fondazione Ratti (Italy) and Frans Masereel Centrum (Belgium).
In 2013-2014, she is the recipient of a grant from the Bogliasco Foundation (Italy, 2019). She has recently exhibited at the Beirut Art Center, MUCEM, Sharjah Biennial 13, Biennial del Sur, Sursock Museum, Gypsum Gallery, Taymour Grahne Gallery, SMBA, Bronx Museum and Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.
