Ambassador of the new generation of jazz, percussionist Yuhan Su unveils in her projects an innovative, cerebral and lyrical music firmly rooted in the jazz tradition.
Her ability to blend traditional Chinese folk music with the sounds and structures of modern jazz makes her one of the most prominent contemporary voices in vibraphone.
On the occasion of Like the Best Fiction, It's Entirely Enveloping, Yuhan Su presents her new compositions between contemporary jazz and avant-garde music, inspired by Hans Hartung or John Irving.
She will be accompanied by Rob Clearfield on piano, Luca Fattorini on bass and Stéphane Adsuar on drums.
Yuhan Su (Taiwan) is in residency at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris.
