Nessma Daw (a breath of light) is a musical performance by Palestinian composer Loay Balaawi.
In compositions inspired by social realities such as poverty, tyranny, occupation and war, he builds bridges between different cultures by combining jazz with the rhythmic sounds of the oud.
Loay Balaawi (Palestine) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Ville de Paris with the support of A.M. Qattan Foundation in Ramallah and the General Consulate of France in Jerusalem.
