On the occasion of Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday in 2020, cellist Andrew Briggs and pianist Edward Liddall explore the German composer’s works for cello.
Inspirer Beethoven : une histoire de deux violoncellistes is a project that saw the light of day following Andrew Briggs’ concert as a Harriet Hale Woolley Fellow at the Fondation des États-Unis (Paris) around the works of Jean-Louis Duport. Joined by Edward Liddall, currently pianist at the Academy of the Paris National Opera, they will present together the first works of Beethoven’s cycle.
Andrew Briggs (USA) is a recipient of the Cité internationale des arts Music Committee.
