Thea Soti creates Overwhite in November 2020, during her residency at the Cité internationale des arts, as part of her audiovisual miniatures THE WHITE SERIES.
The video performances are micro-studies of different states of mind, rediscovering the current meaning of affection, intimacy, absence, disunity, the human and the non-human.
The sound is exclusively created by digital recycling and live processing of the artist's voice. For her, WHITE refers to something clean, light, cloud-like, perhaps frozen, something untouched, but also sterile and isolated from colors.
