Atelier 1513 - Cité internationale des arts

Gregoire Rousseau research articulates round electricity as a form of energy both the arts and everyday life.

Painting surface by the hand and brush, sculpture by shaping volume by the hand and tool, dance by the entire body in movement, all use energy originating from within the human body. Electricity comes from the outside and can be used as a powerful energy to produce motion, sound wave, light, temperature, and as well as to actualize software in digital platforms. Electricity materializes its potentialities to reach the sensible.

For this open studio, Gregoire Rousseau will present a text based installation created in-situ with electric cables and an sculpture experimenting with volume and light.
