Zohreh Zavareh

Le nommé chien plat et autres histoires

from 02 October to 19 December 2020

La Terrasse espace d'art
Zohreh Zavareh is the recipient of the prize of the Departmental Council of Hauts-de-Seine within the framework of the 64th Salon de Montrouge, promoter of young French and international creation, all techniques combined. The winner of this prize receives support for the realization of a new project in an artistic structure of the department.
Zohreh Zavareh, a young Iranian artist trained in Tehran and at the École supérieure d'art de Clermont métropole, met Cécilia Becanovic, curator. La Terrasse espace d'art wished to privilege this already existing link to nourish the conception of this first monographic exhibition.

The artist's reflections focus on the status of objects. Visitors will discover objects placed on the ground. Also replicas of everyday objects, which have lost all functionality. Objects that oscillate between familiarity and strangeness. What is the relationship between these objects? A large stage curtain will suggest to visitors that they are at the heart of a staging in which each object is a character. These are all elements given by the artist so that each visitor builds a narrative that gives life to these objects and questions our reality.
