Koki Nakano

Concert Volants

from 22 to 21 February 2022

Maison Populaire de Montreuil

The Concerts Volants are a nod to the famous Tales of a Thousand and One Nights and to Arthur Rimbaud – nicknamed "The man with the soles of the wind" for his immoderate taste for travel – directed by ARTE Concert who invites nomadic artists and traveling poets from different countries for evenings without borders.

This time, the Concerts Volants are once again taking over the Bouffes du Nord theater. In this magnificent Parisian setting, worlds at the antipodes of each other meet: the blues-folk of Théo Charaf, the elegant piano of the artist in residency at the Cité internationale des arts Koki Nakano and the Berber madness of Karimouche.

The pianist Koki Nakano is the singer of a typically Japanese poetry and elegance. The artist presents here pieces taken from Pre-Choregraphed, an album released last year. As often in his clips, Koki Nakano will be accompanied by a dancer for a new configuration in the Concerts Volants.

Koki Nakano (Japan) is recipient of the Cité internationale des arts Music Committee.
