Francisco Ferro

A Franco-Brazilian composer, Francisco Ferro collaborates with many international ensembles and orchestras such as the Jack Quartet, the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, the Camerata Aberta, the MDI Ensemble, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra, the McGill Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Régional Avignon-Provence.

 

Recent projects include a commission for the Orchestre Régional Avignon-Provence, with the support of the Ministère de la Culture, and a commission for Ensemble Op.Cit.

 

In July 2019, he is guest in residence at the Villa Médicis, the Académie de France in Rome before beginning his residency at the Cité internationale des arts.

 

Francisco Ferro holds a PhD in music composition from McGill University (D.Mus 2017), a Master of Arts from Tufts University (MA 2011) and a Bachelor of Music Composition from Berklee College of Music (BM 2008).
