Hsiang-Lin Wang présente son projet "Fountain Scale". Il s'agit d'une interprétation visuelle du terme "Voyage". Les individus ont voyagé depuis des milliers d'années, mais aujourd'hui la technologie comme Google Street View et les lunettes de réalité virtuelle commencent à aplatir l'expérience de voyage tridimensionnelle. Les voyageurs sont en mesure d'arriver à n'importe quelle destination dont ils rêvaient en quelques clics. Le sens conventionnel de "voyage" a été déconstruit et est devenu un terme ambigu. Dans ce projet, l'artiste souhaite explorer et redéfinir le sens du mot "voyage".
Shih-Chieh Lin présente son projet "Island Dreamin". Il y a trois cent ans en Europe, un jeune Français du nom de George Psalmanazar se faisait passer pour un Formosan originaire de l'île orientale de Formosa et écrivait une ethnographie pour introduire l'île de Formosa à partir de son imagination. Depuis la parution du livre, Psalmanazar était à la fois enivré et hanté par son fantasme. Il a commencé à rêver de nombreux visages des futurs pays orientaux. Tous les soirs, ces visages se composaient pour former une toute nouvelle île, jusqu'au décès de ce dernier.
Hsiang-Lin Wang & Shih-Chieh Lin (Taïwan) sont en résidence à la Cité internationale des arts par le biais du Centre Culturel de Taïwan à Paris.

Hsiang-Lin Wang (Taïwan) presents her project “Fountain Scale”. This is a visual interpretation of the term ‘’Travel’’. People have been traveling for thousands of years, but nowadays the technology like Google street view, VR glasses start to flatten the continues three-dimensional travel experience into the fragmental two-dimensional visual experience. Travelers are able to arrive any destinations they dreamed within few clicks. The conventional meaning of “travel” ; has been deconstructed and became an ambiguous term. In this project, the artist desires to research and redefine the meaning of ‘’travel’’.
Shih-Chieh Lin (Taïwan) presents her project "Island Dreamin". Three hundred years ago in Europe, a young French man named George Psalmanazar pretended himself to be a native Formosan coming from the oriental Formosa island and wrote an ethnography to introduce Formosa island from his imagination. Ever since the book was published, Psalmanazar had been both exhilarated and haunted by his fantasy. He began to dream about many faces from the future oriental lands. Every night, those faces composed themselves to form a whole new Formosa island until Psalmanazar passed away.
