Relying on the collaborative practices that can arise during a residency at the Cité internationale des arts, a place where disciplines, generations and nationalities meet, Taina Calissi has invited several artists to work with her in the interstitial spaces of the foundation's main building.
By occupying unusual places in this way, the PolyMorphisme project reflects the organic character of the Cité internationale des arts, where more than 300 artists live and work each month in the heart of Paris, in the Marais and in Montmartre.
Taina Calissi also transposes this liveliness and diversity into the title of the project by associating the prefix of Polynesia, where she is originally from, and the capacity that art has to allow everyone to present themselves in new forms.
