In Paris, I tango for Maria (Jeanne), is a tribute to the actress Maria Schneider, who played in the film "Last Tango in Paris". Taylor Yocom tries to rework the "butter scene" - a scene not written in the original script that actress Maria Schneider was forced to play: a rape scene.
In the video We are given the rose but we are the ones who must deal with the thorns, Taylor Yocom presents the dichotomy between women's expectations of appeasement and their hidden frustration through the treatment of a considerable romantic symbol : the red rose.
