Atelier 1703 - Cité internationale des arts

Shadow effects and negative spaces are essential in Mehdi Yarmohammadi's compositions, rhythm, movement and circular forms linked to galactic and metaphysical concepts are the main characteristics of his sculptures.

The simplicity of the shapes, the idealized negative spaces give an impression of floating in the air, of delicacy in the expression of movement.

Its aim is to represent emblematic views of deep and ancient cultures through innovative visual forms and new technological methods where respect and farsighted consideration of Nature are reflected.

Mehdi Yarmohammadi (Iran) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Institut français. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture.
