For this evening, Julia Drouhin shares her 3-month residency research in radio and sound arts with Structures Sonores and Cristal Baschet. She explores the embodiment of invisible sound landscapes that reveal frictions in sociality and modify the usual modes of transmission.

Her work uses field recordings, electromagnetic frequencies as well as textiles, edible and found objects. Julia Drouhin has exhibited her work in Europe, Hong Kong, Brazil, South Africa and Australia. She leads workshops and conferences around her practice and doctorate in aesthetics, science and technology on the art of walking and radio performances in public spaces (University Paris 8).

Julia Drouhin (Australia) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the Australian Arts Council program.
