Atelier 8309 - Cité internationale des arts

In her artistic work, Johanna Senger focuses on the exhibition site and the situation of showing art itself. She creates installations using several different media and materials always depending on the specific occasion that she is working for and what she wants to find out about it.

The artist is working with video as well as photography and various kinds of three-dimensional art and everything in an between, in which she is particularly interested. Expressions, words as a medium to talk and think about art and situations also play an important role in her work.

During her open studio she will try to handle the terms “distraction – action / resolution – solution / confusion – fusion.”

Johanna Senger (Germany) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
