Atelier 2031 - Cité internationale des arts

"The definition of madness, as Albert Einstein says, is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results."

Badr Ali invites the public to his workshop to discover his current work, highlighting his experience in obsessive drawing, which has manifested itself in new results from a long repetition.

Badr Ali is a painter living and working in London, United Kingdom.
Although he specializes in painting, he devotes his time at the Cité internationale des arts to exploring drawing, its role and functions in the nativity of the creative process within a wide range of artistic practices.

Badr Ali likes to paint sublime images, usually atmospheric and surrealist landscapes, but he now explores figurative elements in gesture and body language that evoke what can be "sublime".

Badr Ali (USA/Saudi Arabia) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the Al Mansouria Foundation programme.
