The call for applications for the Cité internationale des arts ONDES program is now closed. The result will be given from the end of January 2021 onwards, until then telephone calls will not be answered.

ONDES is a residency program for artists residing in French overseas departments (DOM and TOM) who wish to develop a research and creation project in all disciplines, in Paris, for three months (March to May 2021).

ONDES is part of the new actions carried out by the Cité internationale des arts for overseas artists. It benefits from the financial support of the Ministry of Overseas France.

This new artistic residency program offers multidisciplinary support, meetings with artists and cultural professionals, and active participation in the life of the Cité internationale des arts and its 325 residents from all disciplines, generations and backgrounds.

Recipients benefit from a living and working space and monthly financial support.

All the information and practical questions are below and available HERE (please consult these elements before submitting your application).

If you cannot access online registration, please contact the Cité internationale des arts committees office: Telephone calls will not be answered.

Eligibility criteria and selection

The call for applications is open to artists of French nationality residing in the overseas departments and territories, engaged in professional life and able to testify to an artistic practice for at least 5 years. There is no age limit.

It is intended for artists in the following fields: Architecture, Visual Arts, Cinema, Writing, Music and Performing Arts.

A committee made up of qualified personalities from the artistic and cultural world studies all the applications and selects the recipients of the program.

In addition to evaluating the candidate's professional background, the jury members pay particular attention to the quality of the project, the need for the residence in Paris, the work protocol envisaged and the contacts already established.

Before completing the online form below, please make sure you have the following documents in your possession (PDF format):

• 1 curriculum vitae (4 pages maximum)
• 1 portfolio (between 5 and 20 pages maximum)
• 1 presentation of the project that the applicant wishes to work on during the residency (between 2 and 4 pages maximum)

The studios

The studios (from 20 to 40m2) include a furnished living and working space (living room-workspace, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen). The studios located on the Marais site are also equipped with Wifi.

It is possible to come with an adult (+162 € per month) and/or a child under 7 years old (+119 € per month). New rates will be in effect from January 2021.

The applications selected for collective projects including more than two artists remain exceptional, due to the low number of adapted workshops-accommodations.

We regret that our studios are not fully wheelchair accessible, but we are working to remedy this situation.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions regarding accessibility at the Cité internationale des arts. We are at your disposal to answer you on a case-by-case basis.
