A residency center never stops: it is first and foremost a place to live and work before being a place of performance. The Cité internationale des arts thus continues its commitment to creation, even in today's context: we support artists in residency on a daily basis.

We have decided to virtually knock on the doors of the artists in residence studios here in Paris and of those who have left to show that creation continues to take place.
A daily place for artistic creation in all its forms on a daily basis...

The artist in residency, Mariette Auvray, will present her film "Palestiniennes" at the 2021 edition of the Ciné-Palestine Festival: discover the trailer now.

The 5 recipients of the TRAME program, an exceptional edition launched in 2020 by the Cité internationale des arts in response to the health crisis we are going through, are taking the pose! These French-speaking artists from all disciplines will benefit from a three-month residency in the heart of Paris.

To discover at the Cité internationale des arts until March 28th: Shrimps Society, an independent, aquarium-sized travelling exhibit, visible for the street.

Hosting thirteen shrimps, the curator Andy Rankin – recipient of the "Cité internationale des arts & Centre national des arts plastiques - Cnap program" – has invited three artists (Mahalia Kohnke-Jehl, César Bardoux and Anna Ternon) to present works in this exhibition space, whilst respecting the needs and health of its occupants to ensure they live out their natural life span.

The Cité internationale des arts, a place for unexpected encounters and exchanges. Saul Williams (American poet, writer, actor and rapper) and Anisia Uzeyman (French actress and playwright of Rwandan origin) talk about their residency in early 2021!

"Our residency at the Cité internationale des arts was not only productive but also magical. Among the encounters we had within these walls, the most unexpected was certainly with the extraordinary director Marie-Clémentine Dusabejambo. The same one who supervised the script of "Neptune Frost", our feature film shot exactly one year ago in Rwanda and for which we were here at the Cité to finish the post-production. We were able to work together and make the most of our time together."

Last February, Agathe Djokam Tamo presented 20 021 in collaboration with the musician Kaloune (a.k.a Judith Profil).
