Festival Ciné-Palestine

Mariette Auvray was born in 1986, she lives and works in Paris. She teaches video at the ENSCI-Les Ateliers, France, she studied in Paris and Toronto and graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 2011. Since 2004, her practice has focused on making documentaries about people and communities that offer alternative ways of thinking about the contemporary world.
 
 
In recent years, she has confronted the youth of Jerusalem, a generation in search of meaning in a context of war and political extremism, with her first feature film co-directed with Gabriel Laurent Goodbye Jerusalem (2019), Etoile de la Scam 2020. She has also explored the issues of social construction and feminist demands among girls of her generation in Japan, with the short documentary Les Miroirs de Tokyo (2018), and in Israel and the West Bank with Palestiniennes
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
This year, she was to participate in the 6th edition of the Festival Ciné-Palestine with her film Palestiniennes. Due to the current context, the festival is postponed to 2021 and ensures, in parallel, a mini online edition with screenings and talks to follow both on their website and on Zoom.
