Among the 2021 projects of the City of Paris' participatory budget, we tell you more about n°6: "Redeveloping cultural facilities for youth".
If adopted, this project will allow for a thorough renovation of the Auditorium of the Cité internationale des arts:
• Renewal of seats and floor;
• Creation of a fixed control room;
• Installation of a heating/ventilation system;
• Access for people with reduced mobility.

Why the Auditorium?
The auditorium of the Cité internationale des arts, a residence for artists from all disciplines and from all over the world, now offers a multidisciplinary programme with free access, combining concerts, performances, conferences, readings, debates of ideas and screenings. This 300 m2 space with 128 seats offers a rich and open offer to all, around the international artists hosted in residence. It also hosts amateur artistic practices or a program with invited partners.
This project will also make it possible to modernize the spaces and collections of more than a dozen media libraries and libraries, from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and schools in the 19th arrondissement. Finally, this project proposes the creation of new return boxes for borrowed books!
What is a participatory budget?
It proposed to Parisians to decide on the use of 5% of the investment budget between 2014 and 2020, i.e. half a billion euros. The projects submitted to the vote in September 2021 will be based on the projects submitted by the Parisians.
Who can vote?
All Parisian, men and women, regardless of age or nationality.
When to vote?
Every Parisian has the opportunity to vote by choosing up to 4 "All Paris" projects and up to 4 borough projects(this is where we find the n°6!)
Voting is open from September 6th to 28th, 2021.
How to vote?
On the website budgetparticipatif.paris.fr after creating a Mon Paris account or by depositing a paper bulletin in the boxes reserved for this purpose in various Parisian places (the complete list available on paris.fr).
