Living between Paris and London, Jade Barget is an independent curator. She is interested in screen, moving image and performance cultures. Her research interests include embodied spectatorship and the influence of moving images on the construction of subjectivities, memory, and history.

 

In 2020, Jade Barget has curated exhibitions for institutions such as Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Asian Film Archive, Nottingham Contemporary, and Guest Projects. She has accompanied artists Adam Christensen, Eva Gold, Thuy-Han Nguyen-Chi and Aaron Ratajczyk in the production of new work.

 

With Elizabeth Gabrielle Lee, she co-manages the curatorial platform and network XING, which promotes East and South Asian and diasporic cinema and visual arts through a feminist, anti-imperialist and decolonial programme.
