"Nikolaus Gansterer's artistic and performative practice implements a broader interpretation of the notion of drawing, conceived as a simultaneity between the gestures of thinking and drawing. He is also fundamentally interested in translating and visualizing the mechanisms of thought, both conscious and unconscious. Presenting new works in situ, Gansterer's innovative methods - ad hoc ratings, self-assessments or spatialization of body language - are explored and offer us a new perspective on drawing, which thus becomes a tool for 'thinking in action'."
