Presented at the Galerie des femmes-Antoinette Fouque, the exhibition Invisible captivity presents the photographic work of Rada Akbar, an Afghan activist and artist who was welcomed in France after the Taliban took over Kabul in August 2021.

The artist questions the silence and violence imposed on Afghan women by showing models whose bodies are hidden under burqas, whose identity is expressed only by fingerprints and/or drawings taken from the ancestral practice of talismans.

Rada Akbar (Afghanistan) is in residency as part of the Cité internationale des arts Afghan artist program.
