Monika Pichler is a visual artist. She has been teaching since 1994 at the University of Art and Design in Linz, Austria, where she heads the silkscreen printing workshop in the painting and drawing department. For more than twenty years his work has consisted in using the silkscreen printing technique to transfer his photographs and montages to different media.
Monika Pichler always works on a chosen theme; each work in the series is a unique piece. Manual screen printing and colouring allow the artist to access a visual and emotional language.
As part of the Portes-Ouvertes des ateliers de Ménilmontant, she will present her project Souvenir, les parisiennes at the Mobilhome.
Monika Pichler (Austria) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts.
