The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London proposes a series of five short videos on its Cinema 3 broadcast program through MycoTV. Mona Varichon contributes videos that she has made during her residency at the Cité internationale des arts.
Having filmed a lot of daily life since her arrival at the Cité internationale des arts, Mona Varichon has decided to make a series of videos based on the daily life of the residents, inspired not only by the tradition of filmed newspapers but also by YouTube vlogs. The episodes were structured around the time that she has spent with other artists in residency, other friends and their mutual friendship, taking this artist residency as a metaphor as well as a real entity.
Residents who make appearances in the episodes are Nicolas Faubert, Delphine Bereski, Denis Ninine, Carla Adra and Clémence de la Tour du Pin. Mona Varichon has invited Jacob Eisenmann to direct the fifth episode, in which Nicolas Faubert also appears, as well as two former residents of the Cité internationale des arts, Renaud Jerez and Julie Beaufils.
