Since the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, women artists have been banned from public expression, they must hide, perform among themselves or outside their country. Aida Nosrat came to France with her husband Babak Amir Mobasher to freely develop her business and sing as she pleased. Together, they form the group Manushan, which combines Persian singing, jazz, flamenco and other musical vocabularies from here and abroad.
