Connected Identities is a monodrama for voice, orchestra and electronics in which the composer performs the soloist part and explores the diffracted facets of her own identity that continues to form across geographies.

This project is a collaboration between composer and singer Diana Syrse (1984, Mexico) and the stage director and author Aleksi Barrière (1989, France/Finland). Through cultural exchange, musical traditions will be explored in an international and interdisciplinary way, raising questions about what we share and what separates us.

The staging is directed by Aleksi Barrière in collaboration with the new music theatre company La Chambre aux échos and the Secession Orchestra conducted by Clément Mao-Takacs. The concert will meet the public for the first time in Paris at the Museum of Quai Branly in online streaming format.

Diana Syrse (Mexico) is in residency at the Cité internationale des arts through the program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Arts of Bavaria, Germany.
