Seventeen cultural institutions active in dance at CN D.
For two days, CN D serves as a channel to establish links between artists and programmers: the fourteen studios are occupied by seventeen cultural institutions - national choreographic centres, national choreographic development centres, conventioned and national stages, festivals and theatres. This shared space-time ensures new visibility for the artists they support. The programming and forms proposed are left to the free choice of each structure: short excerpts, rehearsals, work in progress, presentations?
These spaces thus become an opportunity for exchange between the artists supported, the "professional" spectators - supervisors, programmers, administrators - and the general public. Numerous activities are also proposed outside the studios during these two days in order to circulate the word between the different professions - administrative, artistic or institutional - and to question together the problems linked to professional cooperation and the visibility of the projects on a national and international scale. Because the dissemination of works allows for encounters with the public, Canal puts the spotlight on "the spectators" by proposing conferences, round tables and exhibitions devoted to them.
On Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Studio 9 of the CN D, find four dancers in residence at the Cité internationale des arts: Zoé Schreckenberg, Nina Berclaz, Salim Mzé Hamadi Moissi and Andréya Ouamba.
Zoé Schreckenberg (Germany) and Nina Berclaz (France) are recipients of the Performaing Arts Committee of the Cité internationale des arts.
Salim Mzé Hamadi Moissi (Comoros) is in residence at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Institut français.
Andréya Ouamba (Congo) is in residency at the Cité internationale des arts.
