Babado is a hybrid documentary built in collaboration with a network of queer and trans youth living on the border of several worlds, at a crossroads where Afro-Brazilian spirituality, gender dissidence and non-normative sexuality overlap. Delving into the realm of the night and the streets at the Triple Frontier between Brazil, Colombia and Peru, members of this queer community evolve in relation to an Umbanda temple where they connect, through trance, to entities known as the "street people." These outcast spirits are linked to EXU, the deity of chaos and confusion who thrives at crossroads and messengers between worlds.
