For the opening of the Biennale Traces, an evening of highly diverse performances to discover artists whose aesthetics and politics are deeply rooted in their experience as exiles.
Born in 1991 in Tunis, Ayoub Moumen is a fashion designer. Graduated in Fashion Design from the Esmod International Fashion University Group of Tunis (haute couture design), he signed his 1st collection Explosion émotionnelle in 2013. His collection Ivresse divine receives the 1st prize in the Young Designer competition of the International Fashion Festival 2015. In France since 2016, he creates the clothing brand Refuge Engaged Wear (R.E.W Paris) and wins in 2018 the 3rd Prize of the E-fashion award. Member of the atelier des artistes en exil, he creates the catwalk-performance Contamination for the festival Visions d'exil 2019 at the Palais de la Porte Dorée - National Museum of Immigration History and participates in Open Mode festival #3.
He presents the performance On marche sur des oeufs for Les Subsitances de Lyon during the Party in exile evening.

Artist and fashion designer Ayoub Moumen passionately, vigorously stirs up these existential questions while literally walking on eggs. Symbolizing the world’s origin as well as creation and renaissance, eggs in the 21st century also an example of over-industrialized global food production. Overconsumption kills, proclaims this champion of upcycling (transforming used materials and goods into something of higher quality or that is more useful).
Ayoub Moumen (Tunisia) is in residency at the Cité internationale des arts through the programme of the Institut français, the Ministère de la Culture and the atelier des artistes en exil.
