Geneviève Alaguiry reveals the state of mind of an artist in transit during a residency in a very personal account that takes the form of a logbook.
Throughout her text she refers to real situations, underlining the human aspect that is often veiled behind the status of the artist and a situation in which relationships fade away in favour of an incessant and mechanical intermingling of individuals. Geneviève Alaguiry, who comes from Reunion Island, tells us of the invisibility of the artist and the double invisibility of the island artist, who ultimately only exists as seen through the prism of exoticism.
