As a center for artist residencies open to all disciplines and paths, the Cité internationale des arts is, by its very nature, a place where creation, encounters, and shifts in thinking are at work. It is a space where artistic practices and geographical affiliations meet, where environments and knowledge intertwine to open up new possibilities for creation.
As part of the Traversées du Marais festival, the Cité internationale des arts proposes a journey punctuated by exhibitions, film screenings and a musical performance, around six artists with very different practices currently in residence. Working on the themes of "home" and displacement, these artists approach them as a process of extraction and transformation, where origin and destination merge.
