As part of the exhibition Les vies qu'on mène (The Lives we lead), the Forum Vies Mobiles and the Cité internationale des arts are organizing evenings of performances and lectures within the exhibition and in the Auditorium of the Cité.

The program:

• 6 - 7:30 pm: Conference The bicycle, superhero?

The use of bicycles exploded at the height of the health crisis and regular users are becoming more and more numerous. And for good reason: cycling allows people to cover several kilometers in a few minutes, to avoid congestion on the roads and the crowdedness of public transport, to be independent in their travels and, of course, to practice the daily "little physical activity" that many French people lack.
But why does the car continue to dominate even for the shortest trips?
Why can't the bicycle be reconciled with public transport?
And is it really relevant to want to develop cycling outside cities?

With :

• Guillaume Martin, head of the mobility division at B&L Évolution and director of the Paris en Selle association

• Jean-Marc Offner, director of the Bordeaux urban planning agency

• Olivier Razemon, journalist specializing in mobility issues

• 7:30 - 9 pm: Performance by Roya Heydari

A performance by Afghan photographer Roya Heydari, artist in residence at the Cité internationale des arts, will take place after the debate. She will present her current project which aims to show and tell the story of the objects taken by Afghans forced to flee their country in extreme urgency and with very little luggage when the Taliban arrived.
